I don't have vcds myself, but I can get it plugged in by a few others I know, but I'm just wondering if these can be cleared by it? Anytime they've come on in the past after having the wheel off, steering module out etc they've gone off after the above exercises. Just wondering if something different would've happened when fitting new clocks?

Its usually basic settings u need to perform on the abs section for groups 60,63 and 66.

Do you know why the washer low warning would be on now after too?! I thought it might just've been low and topped up but alas I wasn't that lucky!

Belfast sadly!Ive always disabled the low washer thingy on the clusters. Even with full bottle it still shows up and not sure why.

If you don't have the sensor in the reservoir, it will always say it is empty.
One time I fitted R32 clocks to a gti and the calibration process via ABS and the G85 sensor took a lot longer than usual, needs VCDS that is all.

I might as well ask in here too, is it possible to get the speed displayed on the screen?If you have one of those fis boxes installed then u can display the speed in one of the parameters. Not sure about the compass though

If your car is between 04-06 plate and u get clocks ending in 970,971 or972 you can buy the clone vag commander cable and do it yourself but you will need VCDS to clear error faults. vcds is around £260 - £300

If I remove the clos from the car to dismantle and fix the needles will the lights come back on after I get them reset? Or will the lights only appear for the first time after new clocks are installed?
Am I right in thinking once coded to the car the can be removed and refitted without issue too?

You will get the abs and esp lights, just go for a drive around 25mph and they should clear off themselves
