Which tdi have you got

They didn't come in 130 and 150 only the mk4s did. The mk5s come in 105,140 and 170.

The 105 is a 1.9.
Then there's the 2.0 140 and 2.0 170.
The 140 uses pretty much the same 1749va turbo as the old 130 pd mk4.
The 170 is a different beast altogether. Different turbo. Siemens ecu I think. And iirc the 170 had an injector loom recall.
Been ages since I played around with dervs but I think I've remembered correctly. If not, I'm happy to be corrected!

The 1.9 TDI has softer internals. The block might look the same as the PD130 of the mk4 but it's not as strong. The PD150 ARL had a different internal design, improved for performance.
The PD170 needs the DPF removed and a remap.
