Already got puddle factory fitted just need to change them but i guess gives me an idea

Turn the mirror to the front (opposite to the normal folding), so it exposes the only screw that holds the puddle light in its place. Remove the factory puddle light and fit the full LED unit. It's easy enough.
PS: You'll need a small torx tool.

You got any before and after pics?
Also what is the bulb type required? Wondering weather to do this but only if the LEDS are bright enough

I replaced the standard bulb with an LED one. It uses the same wedge type as the interior rear lights. They produced more light but started to flicker if the door was open for a while. Replaced with the eBay ones that replace the whole puddle light as it sounds like the OP has done done and they are much brighter again. Plus, no flickering.
