In case you hadn't noticed (I may have mentioned it a few times!) I'm off to R-Tech on Sat. Taking my oldest with me and making a bit of a boys day of it, so don't mind a roadtrip at all. I'm sure that my 280 round trip is far from the furthest, so I was wondering - who has done the furthest?

I've done Bristol and back, so about 240 i think.

There was a guy when i was there who had mistakenly turned up for an r-tec map at R-TECH.  He came from west of the UK and traveled over to hinckley, only to find out he needed to be in london.

I think he will probably trump us all on mileage...;)
-
A few have come from Europe i believe.

-
What I want to know is..

Do you get s badge???? :driver:

Ouch. Never seen anyone say the trip wasn't worth it though!]

I'm a 240 round trip, but I'll bring the lad, he's 11 & loves all things car wise so I'm sure he'll enjoy it just as much as me!

Same as I'm doing. Mine is 8 and loves a day out with Dad. Only trouble is the 5 year old wants to come too...

Well worth travelling the distance for, Mr Gower really knows his stuff!

-
It is always worth travelling for the right job/service. I've done the trip to R-Tech a few times in the past, always well worth it in my eyes, although it's ONLY 140 miles each way for me

-
Completely agree. Mine worked out at 300 for the day, but I knew I'd visited the best!

Just makes for a longer test drive  :driver:

I did a 280 mile round trip from essex but was so worth it!

-
I'm 640 mile round trip from outskirts of glasgow.  12 hours of driving
-
Last time I was there (a mere 300 mile round trip) I met a chap who had come down from Scotland (5 hrs each way) for a stage 1 map on his S3.  :notworthy:

-
I live in Leicester and from my office im the best part of about 10 miles away

-
Cant remember the guys name, but he came down from Scotland in his bora with a s3 8P engine fitted. I thought that was dedeication to do that journey but turned out to be well worth it

350 mile round trip for me, well worth it

-
Google says 350 miles for me as well but I forgot to check the trip meter when I came back a couple of weeks ago.

-
280 miles all in for me.  Hoping to get mine done for the summer!

-
I'm booked in on Friday and have a staggering...34 miles to go...I think I clearly win

-
I'll be looking to get my ED30 in hopefully in the next couple months.

It'll be 800 miles round trip for me.  Not the farthest anyway.  But a close enough contender.
-
4 mile round trip for me  :happy2:

-
Consider myself quite lucky! I'm only 26 miles away currently and my soon to be purchased new house is only 10 :jumping:

-
Theyre moving in may  :P not far though

That was my mate. He has been to Niki 3 times. Hybrid fabia VRS, S3 powered Bora and a PD100 Polo which made 160Bhp which surprised him and Niki. It flowed so well.

I plan to head down for a stage 2+ once ive got all the parts fitted. Well worth the trip from Aberdeen.
-
I'll be a minimum 600mile round trip when I go down.
