Title: RCD510 / CAN Gateway ?
Post by: lewishoward on January 30, 2016, 06:19:38 pm
Hi everyone,

I've heard of the battery drain problems after installation of RCD510 if the CAN gateway is too old. So I plugged my car into VCDS today and found out my CAN gateway version ends with the letter 'K'. My question is has anyone else installed an RCD510 with a 'K' version CAN gateway? And if so did you experience any battery drain?

Would be great to hear from you!

Thanks

Part number is 1K0 907 530 K
Version is H04 0020

Anyone got this can gateway and successfully installed a RCD 510 with no battery drain?

Thanks!

You need a newer CAN or someone who knows how to flash a newer firmware to avoid the battery drain. Not sure if your CAN can be flashed, though...

I could supply or flash your gateway, but the problem is to get the files needed for flash. I think I have more than 10 gateway which could be flashed, but all files are with same sw  :signLOL:
