Looking at getting a H&R Suspension Kit........same as Gti specific -30 springs.
(Had -50mm H&R Cup kit on my 2012 Octavia VRS for 3 years and loved it so fancy the same for the golf)
Just would like to know if anyone has problems with speed-bumps or multi-storey car parks......... car is a daily so don't want to run into too many issues.
Cheers

If you have an Ed. 30 front spoiler I wouldn't advise those springs if you want to enter most multi-storey car parks. With a normal front bumper and with a normal GTI front spoiler you might get away with them. My GT Sport with an Ed. 30 front spoiler and Eibach Pro-Kits can't enter some car parks due to the steepness of the entrances.
So far I've cleared speed bumps well with them.

It's just a standard GTI. Eibach pro doesn't seem to drop that much?

Yeah, Pro-Kits drop GTIs around 5-10 mm. With your spoiler you should be able to enter most car parks with H&R springs.

I had H&R springs on the ed30 & had no problems with speed bumps & multi storey car parks

Depends on how the entrances are. They need to be smooth enough or the lip will get damaged.

I've got H&R springs on my daily GTI and no problems whatsoever.

I just fitted h&r's to mine 2weeks ago and have no problems at all.

I've got VW Racing springs on the GTi, drop is slightly less than H&R's. When carrying a full load of passengers I have caught the underside of the car on the narrow humps that you straddle. Fine when it's just a couple of people in the car.

Cheers all  sounds promising to me!

Don't mean to hijack but while on the subject Is it worth changing the shocks when doing the springs or can you get away with not changing them as mine are fine. Was thinking of the H&Rs for mine

I've read many saying that their cars handles fine with OEM shocks. My personal experience tells me that the lowering springs work better with shorter dampers like Koni Sports or Bilstein B8s. My ride handles much better with Koni Sports than with OEM dampers like new. Of course I could have kept the OEM dampers, I just would never have the same confidence going over bumps that I have now. The car settles much faster.

'Sumpcrackers'. They should rip them all out.

Ye that's what my opinion has always been but spoke to a couple of people that have done it Thoe thought it would be not too bad. Just the cost at the moment that's all. Then a bit later on change up to b8s

Yeah, it's nothing awful, just not as good as it can be.
