Title: LED sidelight resistors
Post by: GTIEagles on February 03, 2016, 09:03:14 pm
I put some Philips 501 LED sidelights on my car however these will only work with a resistor. I'm slightly concerned with how hot the resistor gets after a while but I also don't think there is enough cable length to place it outside the headlight.

Does anyone know of a safe location to mount it inside the headlight?

Ha, I knew someone would say that! I like the Philips ones as they are rated 4000k which isn't far off the xtreme vision H7s I have in there at the moment plus they don't look like LEDs with the dome concealing the LEDs themselves.

Point me in the direction of a 4000k 501 LED with built in resistors and I might reconsider.

Extend and solder the wires
