Title: Help with no display?

Received my used ebay headunit today from a member on here. (Awaiting for a reply from him). It comes with a canbus decoder box, un-plugged my standard headunit. Fitted the new one just plug and play, it lights up with the lights on and I can hear the cd player making a noise but no display at all? Tried pressing all the buttons inc the reset button but nothing??.

Any ideas?. Also have the airbag warning sign show up which I'm guessing os because I unplugged the sensor.

Not sure on your display issue but the airbag will be on because you unplugged the passenger airbag off light under the hazard light button

I'm having exactly the same problem with my new erisin 9015, all plugged in correctly & secure, built in can bus, so wiring was a doddle just the lockdown latch thing, but it works internediatly, I never unplugged my hazard lights switch,as I read I could throw up a code that needs a re set by vag com.
Never had a moments trouble with the rcd 300.
I think these units are a good idea, but in reality they simply don't pull it off.
