Good evening all. Just wanted to say a quick hello. I am currently looking for a GTI with DSG. I have read a through a few posts and articles and was just wanting some advice about what to look for and what to stay away from. Is mileage an issue, there seem to be a lot of high milers out there. Many thanks in advance and have a great evening.

Anything with a good service history is always a massive plus. But if it's a DSG try and get one under 50-60k as 'if' you do get problems then that's when they usually start.
Engine is pretty bullet proof of kept looked after, but always try and take someone with a handheld fault code scanner as it will save you buying a lemon with loads of problems.
