Title: Help: No power to doors
Post by: HughOR on February 13, 2016, 07:12:23 pm
So I changed my battery today, started the car, couldn't put up the windows. Went for a quick spin to allow stuff to reset, electric windows still not working. Also no backlights behind window switches, no power mirrors, fuel cap switch not working, doors not locking. Basically only thing that works on the doors is speakers. This is on both doors, which makes me think its not a wiring issue. VCDS is saying it can't communicate with door controllers. Anyone come across this before??

In front of the battery there's a fuse box -  this fuse box has bus bar connectors at the front look there for corrosion issues.

So disconnected the battery for an hour and its fine now. Might save someone else some grief in the future...
