hello and welcome :happy2:

Looks lovely matey
-
Thanks for the comments. :happy2:
I'm just undecided of what I'm going to do-whether to leave it standard,or to mod.If I do go down the modding route,it'll probably be subtle as I don't want the car to look wrong or have huge amounts of unuseable power.
Probably start off with a re-map and filter/exhaust and I still have those black wheels with the polished rims that were on the Audi.Might stick them on in the spring and see how it looks.
Probably not going to do anything that isn't reversable for when the time comes to sell or trade in.
Learnt that lesson the hard way with my Corrado G60.....
-
Nice car! :happy2:
I would love to have a Edt. 30, but they are rare and expensive her in DK.. :sad1:
-
im not a fan of body work mods, subtle mods are the way forward, nothing annoys other car drivers when they try to blow you away and fail.

The wheels from the S3 won't fit on the golf due to different pcd (5x100 compared to 5x112).
How do you find the difference between the S3 and golf? Even though I sold my S3 about 4 years ago, I think I still preferred how it drove compared to the golf

Damn. And heres me thinking that they were the same pcd.Dunno where I got that idea from....
I really liked the S3,but I started to find it a bit boring and not that fast TBH.I think the Quattro system sapped a lot of power and it was heavy, but it did handle well thanks to that 4wd.
Unfortunately, there were a lot of small niggles about the build quality starting to come thru, but it was getting on for eight years old.All in all,I prefer the Golf, though.

Nice but please get an alloy tax disc holder  :happy2:.

Hi guys, not been on here in a while, but here's the reason why.

The Golf was parked roughly just to the rear of where the Megane is now...thats how far he pushed it.
This all happened in January and I'm still waiting for the car to be repaired.Last I spoke to the bodyshop they were saying that the VW dealers-Hawco in Inverness- were waiting on back order parts from VW.
How fechin long do I have to wait?
I mean,I do live on an Island, but FFS,three months is a bit of a stretch?
I
-
Thats shocking to see! :sad1: Hopefully it wont be too much longer before its back on the road! :happy2:
-
Mate get down there and give them a kick up the arse. If it's the dealers sorting the repair they will repair your car as slow as they can. It's whoever shouts the loudest!
Sorry to hear about it mate, but don't stand for that! Three months? I'd want that out of my doors in four days!!
-
from page one where it looks just mint to this i feel sick. Hate to see another vw in a bad shape, i managed to rearrange my first cars front end but that was my own fault!
3 Months is a wee bit excessive! Do you have wheels in the mean time?
-
Sad News, and must of happened just after you 1st posted here :surprised:
Id be spitting chips after 2 weeks ,let alone 3 months
-
Nasty mate.
I would have taken up camp on their forecourt by now if i had been waiting three months.
-
Mate, gutting. Can't believe you waited for so long either. Hope you get it sorted.
-
All the more scary for us DBP boys! :scared:
Hope she's back on the road where she belongs ASAP! :happy2:

Thanks.Yeah,it was mint-only 15000 on the clock from new(07 plate) and a local car,so I know who the previous owners were and who bought it from new.
I've got a Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 SRi to tool about in.The less said about that, the better!
The body shop is a small independant outfit, but does a lot of insurance work.I suppose he's been backed up with a lot of minor dings and collisions from the icy weather but I spoke to him today and he assured me it would be in and started on this week.
Hers hoping! :happy2:
-
Hope you get it sorted soon.
-
toss bag.
good luck with the insurance mate. hope to see it back soon!
-
Shocker mate. gutted for you! How did the Megane manage to hit you when you were parked up?
-

Erm, why is the Megane driver still standing? If that was my Golf he'd hit he'd certainly be injured..............via a short sharp jab to the nose! :fighting:
-
Couldn't you get the car written off, then get another one? The repair work can't be cheap - and what about the chassis? Will it be straight?
-
:surprised:
aw dude! gutting.. how the hell did that muppet manage to hit you?
-
:surprised: :surprised: :surprised:
Really scary seeing the car like that :sad1:
-
Jeez! Sorry to hear about this dude
-
That looks terrible, how did the driver not see your car?
