Title: Cam follower and dv

Is it wise to get these changed? No record of these been changed! I guess revision g is the best dv for the job, eBay a good place? Any part number for the cam follower? Any help is appreciated  :jumpmove:

Well you can remove your dv and check what version you have.  Then check for splits in the rubber etc. I check mine every few months to see as doesn't always throw a code if it's split.

If you know what they are, then you know they need changing!

Get it done! When my last G split (I go through them more often than I'd like), there were no codes, just felt like the car was driving on a standard map but you could hear the leak, and that's with a small hole/tear, smaller than a garden pea

I have just got my gti. It's a 57 plate with 54k miles. Can someone explain if I should change these and maybe share a link for a how to? Thanks  :drinking:
