Folks, I'm looking to upgrade from an RNS315 to a 510 in a 2013 CC. The 315 has DAB and Bluetooth, but can anyone confirm whether the Bluetooth is built in to the unit in 2013 and therefore I'd have to fit a Bluetooth module along with the 510?
If I do, what way does the wiring work? Will a normal retrofit loom work as there'd already be a mic installed?

Only you can confirm if it has bluetooth or not. Look under the passanger seat - if there is a module - you have a bluetooth, if no - no, uses RNS315 one. About the wiring, your mic now is wired to the unit, so you would need to wire two wires from the unit to bluetooth module and take out the new part of the mic from the new/BT loom. With this configuration you would have voice control on RNS510. Second option, is take out mic pins from the headunit quad plug and wire straight to bluetooth module. Both ways work, but no voice control on this. :happy2:

Thanks. I haven't bought the car yet, just planning ahead. I'll get a look when I collect it.
Not 100% clear on the wiring description there, but I can worry about it when I get the bits gathered up.
