Title: New owner - Standard Mk5 GTI
Post by: Robna on February 22, 2016, 08:23:18 pm
Just a quick post to introduce myself. I have just bought a 5 door DSG GTI to replace a Lupo GTI. Really pleased with it so far, its a nice spec with heated leather, parking sensors and 18s (although they have been refurbed silver).

I am on the lookout for an MFD2 satnav or maybe the RNS-510 so if anyone in the south east has one for sale give me a shout  :happy2:

Also, is the cruise control an easy retro fit?

Yep, I have seen the MFD for sale but I can't message him about it yet  :indifferent: it's quite local too   :happy2:

Welcome to the forum.

@RetroRaz (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=6494) will be able to assist with fitting the RNS/MFD2 and cruise control. He is based in London if that is near you.

Cool. Thanks for the welcome.

Would I be right in thinking that the cruise control should be straight forward with it being a 57 plate so it would just need the stalk installing? Or would it still need programming?

There seem to be so many variations of Sat nav, I am just trying to get my head around it!  :scared:
