Title: Other marques tuning scenes
Post by: Tfsi_Mike on February 27, 2016, 07:45:15 pm

What variety do we have amongst the forum, what other tuning or enthusiast circles have you been involved in?

What have you had in the past that you'd go back to?

What communities are notably better or worse and why?

I'll get another mini at some point. No idea which.

Wasn't massively into the scene, but seems a good one.

Only other scene I've really been into was the generic, max power / fast car one in the late 90's. Don't judge me  :happy2: it was pretty inclusive and generally enjoyable.

Honda scene was big years ago. Bit Chavy at times.

AMG tuning scene is good but pricey.

VW tuners have the deepest pockets

BMW a little like VAG.

Classics/Modern OEM+/Track & drift slags

There's some element of jaunty hatted yoofs running scene cars, but not to the same level as VAG.

I'd definitely have another M3. Had 3 of them and loved all of them but becoming a father nearly 7yrs ago put a hold on keeping my last E46 M3 which had a fair bit done to it. I'd also like a B5 RS4 but would definitely settle for a B5 S4

M3 Appeals as Ive never owned RWD.  How are the Chassis, generally?  See plenty of older BM's on track

Z4M coupe - rarer, you don't need to be involved in human trafficking and cheaper than an e46 CS (best spec) :innocent:

E46 M3s tear their boot floor where the subframe mounts. Lots have been recalled and had the official BMW fix, even 10 years down the line. Otherwise specialists can get the BMW kit and do it for you.

Need brakes.
