Hi Guys
Was out in the snow earlier and noticed several patches of these on my driveway when I moved my car:
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fz186%2Fem2evol%2FImage539.jpg&hash=223d8f912331ac8223bc72a2742c39a311213e24)
Now this would explain why my engine coolant seems to go down awfully quickly... any idea of the problem? It's coming from the opposite side to the actual coolant tank...
Thanks

could be from a radiator hose on that side?

....
Check for signs of leakage around gearbox (DSG) - Seal likely to have gone - Cheap to replace.
Not a problem while engine is running hot but leaks as the seal becomes cold.

Its probably the bottom corner of your radiator perishing.
I spotted the same leak coming from mine. I took it to my local friendly ex VW mechanic and we spotted it straight away when it was up on the ramp. Apparently mine won't be the first he replaces!
We spotted this back in September and I put some Wynns Radiator Stop Leak in as I was really skint at the time. Believe it or not the rad is still sealed to this day, I was expecting 1 month tops!
