I have a worrying problem when i hit boost in my car or shal i say when the turbo is "meant" to kick in....
It seems to be an intermittent problem, when i put my foot down sometimes the turbo will kick in fine :driver: then it can be a couple of seconds later when i change gear and when i am still meant to be in boost there is nothing happening at all. Even happens when i am just driving normal/ish and want to hear the DV through the filter and it doesn't kick in then a couple of seconds later it will kick in.
other times i will put my foot down, nothing will happen and eventually it will kick in and it will pull strong again.
It has had a diagnostics check and no codes pop up.
I have a feeling that my DV is on its way out but i'm not too sure.
Anyone have anything similar or anyone help?
will be much appreciated

First thing to check will be your DV

The DV is definitely one to check...but there should be repeatable and then consistent or worsening symptoms.
Another issue may be the N75 boost frequency controller beginning to have electrical failure. The N75 can be cracked or even have the fore mentioned electrical failure. It should read between 25 and 35 ohm across the two prongs at its connector. Here is a Topic I just started: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,104851.msg1020501.html#msg1020501
