Title: Driver side rear door not opening from outside

I've recently bought a Golf MK5 and the driver side rear door will not open from outside but opens from inside. Would anyone know what could wrong with it?

Probably the door lock mechanism, very common problem. Get it done ASAP cause eventually it will stop opening from the inside too. That's when it starts getting expensive.

Cheers, will it be covered under VW 12 year warranty?
