Title: Cam follower changed today

A mate changed this for me today, 96k miles. Piece of mind now..... cheers for the guide vRS Carl  :happy2:  :congrats:

Trying to work out if mine was stage 1 or 2 in the Rtech wear scale?!  :scared:

You'll be ok damage wise I would think, but it needed changing!

I still need to do mine. Was supposed to do it last weekend.

Have you got the link to the guide you followed and how easy/hard was it?

Once we'd wrestled off the engine cover, 15-20 mins I guess.

This is mine I did 2 weeks ago, 94100 on the clock

Thanks - any noticeable difference with the new one installed?

The car should run the same, Its not something that will effect the running unless the follower fails.....Then it gets expensive!

Should be a serviceable item, I replaced mine on my 40K Golf R within the First Week of ownership. Annoyed the hell out of me driving the car and not knowing if it had ever been replaced.
