Title: Powdery White Stain on Lower Dash (to right/below steering wheel)??
Post by: Juliand on March 13, 2016, 09:58:14 am
As  above. A bit puzzled. Should have taken pic, but wiped it off now, and see if it re-appears.

Any thoughts, please? First week of ownership (2005 GTI, 32000 miles), no doubt a few more issues will follow

Was wondering what is behind this part of the dash (by the little fold out storage flap), but can't fathom why the marks are on the outside of the dash, if something is leaking inside. Curiously, the car came without any overmats, so wonder if they were removed because of some other more sinister reason. Hmmmmm!

Cheers

It's not residue from the airbag going off at some point is it...?

Not that I know what that'd look like, thankfully!
