What are they like noise wise compared to standard exhaust?

That's the same exhaust fitted to my old gti with a 3" decat downpipe, wasn't much louder than the original exhaust with decat

Phew I'm so glad to have sent mine back for a full refund as it's would just have been for the bigger tail ends and nothing more.  :slap:

Would the end pipes be the same size as those caps some people have fitted?
It was just the noise factor I'm interested in really. As don't want to piss off the neighbours.

Pipes are 3inch on those.

No Lewo I didn't as there was an issue with the tips being hammered and I didn't like it. I've also read and heard that they rust quick so would rather go milltek but don't tell AJP as he'll be over to give me a  :slap:

The one I bought was fine so it must just be a lucky dip.

Had no issues with it at all, it was very well made for the price and fitted perfect. It's 2.75" internal diameter same as milltek although they're advertised as 2.5" that's not correct when they arrive.

Here's a pic of what the tips look like when fitted

Rust quick, thought they are stainless?
Anyhow only looking around to see what exhausts are about for when the time comes to replace mine that don't cost the earth and  sounds as close to standard as oem.
Hoping to do the pre-cat delete next week and it got me thinking about what's out there.

Looks ok to me Ricky  :happy2:

I also have had this fitted and have had no issues for 8 months now. Not a bad exhaust for the price. They often put these on as auctions, I managed to get mine for around £125 with postage.

My mate fitted one of them, for the price the quality was ok but as above corrosion set it pretty quick. I have a Milltek fitted on mine and the all-round quality is brilliant.

I get what you're saying now r5gtt, didn't think I'd be bothered by the finish on the end pipes but maybe it's making me think lol.
It will depend on funds at the time as to which I get.
Ricky123, did you need to get an adapter/sleeve to fit it or was it a straight fit to the standard downpipe?
Cheers.

Got an adapted from mij exhausts on eBay for about £10 delivered then it was a straight fit. I no people are saying "hammered" ends but it looked fine on the cars to me and it's basically a milltek at the fraction of the cost! Our cars are creeping up 10 years old maybe more now so in my eyes an exhaust with an end that isn't 110% doesn't bother me.

And I'd also like to point out any damage that is on the ends was caused by me during fitting

I won mine for 136 delivered but after the second attempt to correct the hammered ends I gave up as it just didn't look right and further more I don't like the rusty effect that sets in and eventually will corrode and start to blow.
I for one opt for a milltek soon iA
