Title: Golf R mk7 brake kit onto my Ed30 mk5???
Post by: GordySB on March 19, 2016, 04:38:30 pm
I'm still looking to upgrade my Mk5 Edition 30 brakes to 310 rear and 345 front and keep putting it off due to cost. Holding my breath again and taking a dive back in....
I see a complete set of Golf R r20 Mk7 calipers and discs on eBay, can anyone tell me if they're going to fit, or share any experience of doing this yourself?

Think the mk7 has electric park brake? If so wouldn't fit.

Yeah, heard that maybe an issue, didn't think the electric park brake was standard though.
Never mind. Thanks for responding.

Look for R32/R20 mk6/S3 8P/TT-S.

For the rear buying the calipers and brackets from TRW is cheap enough, I think, if you can't source them in 2nd hand in good condition. It was a mate here that told me about them and I ordered them from ebay. Since then I've shared the TRW part numbers 3 or 4 times in other posts about rear brake setups.
