Title: 30K Mile Service Coming Up
Post by: xxx_mojo_xxx on January 09, 2010, 06:02:42 pm
Got the service indicator come up...car has done close to 28K - so I guess the car is warning me about the 30K service.

Is there anything that I should get the VW guys to check out - apart from the oil?  What should I expect/ask them to change?

Thanks!

Mine's recently had the 30k service and it was only an oil/filter change.

they may recomend brake fluid, but just the general oil,oil filter, ailr filter will be fine. PLugs are cheap enough so may aswell do them

1) Got an induction kit so I don't think they can do anything with the air filter.
2) Had my brake fluid changed no fewer than 3 times when faffing around with a brake kit that I ended up returning.  Expecting to get the VWR brake kit in the next fornight so I guess they can change it .
3) Oil wise should I insist on the fully synthetic, or is the semi ok?
4) Spark plugs wise - what are good ones to use?

The VWR BBK is being picked up on Monday from the production plant.  It will be on display at the Autosport exhibition.  I'm hoping to get mine installed w/c  18 Jan.

Can't wait....
