Thanks in advance

What size tyres are you looking for
-
pay that little extra amd get the Goodyear eagle f1 Asymmetric 2-3 for 340 the set. best tyres imho.
-
Pay a little extra. Tyres are the only thing keeping you on the road and determine most of the car's characteristics.
-
Have a look on camskill or black circles.
I know loads of people who use camskill but I have used black circles for motorcycle tyres and saved loads and was nxt day delivery
-
Uniroyal Rainsport 3s are £54 a corner on camskill at the minute. 225/40 18.
-
Good price for uniroyal never used them but must be good if they're recommended

I'd up the budget slightly and you'll get a lot more for your money, for £60 a corner fitted you could look at something like Toyo Proxes C1S or for £80 avon zz5.
I've got the avons fitted to my bmw and can't fault them and going to get them on my golf as soon as my current tyres need changing

Vredstein ultrac sennanta and hankook ventus are well rated mid range tyres and £65ish on tyreleader, might be worth a look. Loads of other options on that site too.

I had Proxys on an old car. Good dry grip but wore down very quickly.

I've recently put Continental ContiSportContact 5's on my car and cannot fault them. I paid around £90 a tyre fitted. Don't know what other people think of them?

I just ordered some today actually at £80 a corner. Used to love them on an old car but been using ps3s since having the golf. Wondered about changing and then a mate got done from @vRSAlex (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1981) and recommended them, so that was me sold.

Another vote for the Vred Sessantas, not tried many mid-range tyres but was impressed with how well they did. If you can afford anything with a Michelin label I would go for that.
