Title: Engine code, from looking at block?

Hi guys,

is there anyway of looking at a mk5 gti engine, and finding the engine code? been told a sticker on the cambelt cover, but thats missing, any where else too look? been told a ED30 engines been put it, with no proof, so just looking to try and find out my self

IIRC mine is etched on to the main block in front of the inlet manifold, is your engine cover removed?

Don't think you'll see it otherwise...
