Title: Tried the climate control secret display with weird results.....

Basically I wanted to try 2 data areas on my 2005 AXX car:

1/ Speedo (19.1 position)

2/ Engine coolant temp (19.2) as my gauge only gets to half way when driving normally.

It turns out that 19.0 on mine is speed in KMH and 19.1 is water temperature. I don't have speedo in mph either.

Anyone else had this?

yep, same on my AXX 2005 GTI as well.
I gave up in the end as i couldn't find out which was which. ended up getting a OBD adapter as that has some simple bits to get.
