Is it possible? I'm convinced that our GTI is remapped as it's so quick in a straight line.
Having searched the Web I can't seem to see if there's an easy way to see via VCDS if there's a remap? I guess you do it via boost pressure etc but not sure how I access that?
Thanks!

Yeah there's a bit called 'Flash count' which is 0 when standard. If it's 1 or higher, it's been remapped. I can't remember what VCDS page that is though. Engine module and then workshop or info or something.

my ed30 i just sold the flashcount was on 34 i think

Yeah mine's on about 24! It can go that way with custom mapping though. Revo maps will usually show 1 as it's off the shelf!

I don't know about detecting a remap as such but you can certainly log boost and you can work out approx bhp
Log block 120 in the 08 - engine module.
Log from a rolling start in 3rd gear to flat out and then use the 'block 120 spreadsheet' here http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/index.html to convert the figures.. and if you want create a chart.
Do a few runs and then you can take an average.
You can also log the boost on block 115 in the same module and then use the 'block 115 spreadsheet' to convert from mBar to psi

Perfect cheers guys! Will give that a whirl!

Well it has a flash count of 4 so I presume someone's done something!
