Two more things to note: different year cars require wiring them up differently and you will need to have them turned on with VCDS as well.

I reckon just get them from eBay. I did and they were fine. Be sure to get the ones that come with the wiring and pins (most do) as it just makes the job so much easier. I've since changed mine to the vw emblem projector style.

Oops. Sorry haven't checked here for a while.
I've since changed mine to the logo ones. I'll take a photo of the original ones tonight and of the logo ones in use.
