Title: Garage in Bath Bristol Oxford Reading area recommended

Has anyone used a garage in the Bath,  Bristol,  Swindon,  Reading Oxford area for cam chain tensioner change that they would recommend?

New to Gti forum, new to Bristol, i am looking for a garage/mechanic around Bristol if anybody can recommend.

TRD (Turner Race Developments) in Stroud.

Very honest, enthusiastic and knowledgeable on all high end + VAG cars.
They have been looking after my GTI for the last couple of years.

if your willing to go as far as stroud then you could go opposite direction to TSR performance in bridgewater

Second this, just round the corner from me and they definitely know what they are doing with anything vag!

Have used Vee W services in Bedminster for the last couple of years with very good results on general servicing, mot's, dsg service etc. I think a good sign is that I've only ever seen VW and Audi cars being worked on there.

Another vote for Vee W services in bristol.

I had my GTI in there a few months back.  Very professional and friendly.  The only down fall with them is you cannot book in a time and have to leave it with them all day until they ring you for collection.

City centre is only about 10 mins walk away though so lot's to keep you occupied...:)

I live near Temple Meads so this is a good place.

what about a local car parts shop ? (except gfs)

I highly recommend Simon @ gandaperformance in Brackley. Very competitive and certainly know there stuff

Not got any I've used myself, but Vee W Services are who I'll be using soon after various reviews I've read
