Bought 2 cases 2x4 5 litres bottles 10 months ago from TPS.
I'm not selling my car so have 5 bottles left out of the 8 I bought.
Does it have a she fly life or will I be alright keeping it a few years?
It's Quantum long life 3 5-30w. Thought I'd save money by stocking up on it.
Ironically if I'd just have bought it as I needed it I'd havbe spent less.
If it doesn't go out of date then I keep it for future cars however it not I'll offer it for sale cheap.

Id like to hear the answer on this as I fancy a drum of millers for the garage

I've googled it but there are loads of people say yes it does go out of date and others saying no.
It does have a manufacturing date, or bottled date on the ones I've got. I'd like to know how many years it good for.

Ask over on pistonheads, @oilman (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=611) seems to answer all questions posted in the oil thread.
How much did you pay for the Quantum 5W30 from TPS?

From Mobil.
ExxonMobil recommends a five-year maximum shelf life for engine oils, including Mobil 1™ synthetic motor oil.

They have to put a shelf life on by law I believe!
If the bottle has never been opened and is stored in relatively good conditions it'll be fine for years to come...
