Opie Oils is currently cheapest, use one of the car club discount codes and it's a smidge over £50 delivered
-
Thanks guys

Agree opie oils is the best place.
Keep an eye out the also do deals as well I just took advantage of the 15% off deal on nanodrive and bought 4x5l cans for £175 delivered - £43.75 a can .
Would have bought more but have other stuff to buy too :-(.

I just know I'm going to get slated but shouldn't it be 5w30? what's the difference? please be gentle on me.....
-
5w30 is standard longlife oil spec - super thin - good for fuel economy and longlife service intervals, sh*te under hot/extreme conditions such as those caused when increasing the engines power output. 5W40 offers better protection at higher temperatures and can help to reduce the excessive oil consumption that a lot of these lumps suffer with

well thanks for the useful info and being gentle on me, my lump drinks oil and I like to thrash the old girl from time to time so I will be switching to 5w40 nanodrive in 6 months at my next oil change.
cheers!

If you have high oil consumption, try and find some Mobil 1 5W/50. I've used it in oil burning VW engines in the past to great effect.
-
Iv just bought 6L from JCC race and rally for £65 delivered
-
Would 5w30 be ok for normal driving then around town and not track use or heavy driving?

+1 - there are plenty of threads about this on here. have a dig about.

Do Opie give us discount?
-
Yea, apparently its on oilman signature, which you can only see on the comp not phone.
I was looking a month back and their ebay was cheaper at the time then their store.

Sometimes its cheaper from other sellers on eBay. Not sure of the code for this site, but I normally just use 'TFSI'.
