Title: GTI engine squeal when pulling away
Post by: gunnellgti on April 14, 2016, 11:33:46 am
Hi there just looking for a bit of advice. When i pull of from standing i get a strange squeal that sounds like some kind of belt. Doesn't do it if i put more revs on when pulling away. Does the same thing if i put it in too higher gear when going too slowly and accelerate. Anyone had any experience of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sam

the pulley is not cheap test it first take the aux belt off, the alternator should free wheel one way.
