Title: Indicators coming on with brake lights issue

Can anyone advise me on what could be wrong please?.

when I press the brakes I've noticed the indictators are also illuminating with brake lights with lights off?. not flashing just switch on with brakes like amber brake lights  :doh:

Any fault codes?   I think there's a lighting or 'body control' module (or something) that controls the bulb check thing.  I would imagine a fault with that could cause something like this!

I did a month or so back @Dan_FR (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=9513) lit the indicates on permanent like USA. would that cause this issue?.

Theres an option in there for rear indicators as brake lights if I remember rightly, cant remember if its a % option or a checkbox (something to do with USA sh*te)

Has it been an issue since then or has it started recently? Did you take an autoscan of the coding as it was before? If so, try restoring the coding as it was to see if it fixes this issue

Best thing for it now is trial and error. Change one thing, check it. If not fixed, change the coding back and try something else.

Will do thanks. I'm sure it was only the brakes working when it did the change as I tried then out when putting a bar to the seat and pedal to check brake light.

This is what I did  :doh: didn't read it properly and thought it was just amber on and indicators but actually it does everything  :stupid: thing.

Still got to fit my inner ring lights on and hope no errors flare up then  :scared:
