Title: The Pride and Joy edition (pic heavy)
Post by: martinEd30 on April 26, 2016, 11:34:52 pm
So been browsing over the members ride section, and decided i may aswell post some of the edition with some progress pictures too. bits and bobs have been done. (not all the best quality unfortunatly)

So to start...

around the time she came home and parked next to the old audi
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F2016-04-26_22.44.03-480x853.jpg&hash=ff6732bd465bc96fd7a09b43a4928fe8df1f980a)

a slightly better picture from her first wash, again next to the old audi and a friends breadvan
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F2016-04-26_22.47.18-800x450.jpg&hash=3274513caf2b608e8095af72378a805d0c84ff6a)

Then came the first modification,  a milltek catback system supplied by awesome gti
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160124_143005-480x853.jpg&hash=b99cb0f4e269dcfb1f6bc54e38b32b5d5c57fd24)

followed by the downpipe and decat several weeks later
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160106_204525-480x853.jpg&hash=472df9af0ebc94df4ac79b4a7af639aa6e1a8821)

then a nice simple upgrade from the 310 to the 510, luckily havnt had any issues with the battery drain issues, which is all good :)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160207_091147-480x853.jpg&hash=9f33de58d19712001438841a917b4a617e863dac)

followed by some more shiney parts provided by awesome gti again
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160226_172755-800x450.jpg&hash=afd0adb2fd8816ed231b79c725b23c21d66ed310)

and some 15mm wheel spacers for the rear
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160319_113119-480x853.jpg&hash=2cedef3d6c5f3cba002c86542b6a542f9b3fc5c2)

finally after reading many many reviews a revo induction kit was decided on
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FRemx%2FThe_golf%2F20160419_173411-800x450.jpg&hash=2b7c1352b7b7de9774868667a7a18a702ffd2a22)

Looking good, have you though about upgrading the HPFP since you've done nearly all the other supporting mods for stage 2+? Or do you not want to go that far with it?

yeah i will be looking at going stage 2+ its just money permitting really, i will purchase a hpfp later this year just don't think the clutch will handle it at the moment and i should really priorities money else where, so only going to go stage 2, later on in the year im sure ;)

So i got round to fitting the new intercooler on the ed30 today with a big help from the girlfriend!
weirdly can feel the weight difference between the standard one and the new one, and all went back together with not 1 screw/bolt/nut left over so rather chuffed with that.

So i had this put on the rolling road at gti international the other weekend and suprisingly made 252.4bhp with just the bolt on modifications. (Induction, miltek turbo back, and airyec stage 2 intercooler) cant wait to get the hpfp and map :)

Cheers guys :) havnt really had alot done to it recently. Got a gfb dv+ added to it but thats about it currently. Still got to purchase a hpfp and bits and bobs first before it heads to rtech. Just funds permitting haha. May take the plunge with the fuel pump soon though. Maybe il try and have it all done by gti fest in oct so i can run it down the strip haha

are you going to santapod october ?

Its currently running 252.4bhp according to a dyno i had done. But im not expecting that to be accurate. Just a rough ball park figure. And no news on rtech yet just had to shell out for some new tyres. Going to order the fuel pump end of this week and then maybe a rs4 fuel return valve.
Also in talks with awesome atm about my miltek exhaust bracket breakjng in my downpipe. Makes  such an annoying rattle. But depending on the outcome of that depends on what money gets spent.

I ordered the fmic from awesome and fitted it myself with the girlfriend. Looked a little overwellming at first but actually wasnt that hard to install. Took a few hours and a abit of effin n jeffin but happy to say i didnt have any screws left over so that must be good? Haha

So.. took the eddy to see the wizard of r-tech over the weekend. He is very good at his job. So it made 355bhp which wasnt too bad considering the clutch gave way. So the car is booked in at aks to have a new uprated clutch thrown in. Only downaide is the earliest booking i could get with them and work was 1st december :( gutted. But defo chuffed with how the car is performing currently
