hi, anyone ever had a problem with a rubbing noise when turning hard to left/right. checked in the wheel arch and there is no sign of rubbing..
-
What sort of noise is it? Clunking, grinding ect..?
-
It sounds like a scuffing noise, had a look in the wheel arch and there was no signs of anything being rubbed. Booked in to the local vw today
-
Are you lowered?
Could be scrubbing your roll bar
-
No just the standard height
-
Have a look at the inner wheel and arch, plus the suspension and roll bar (as mentioned). May see signs of the cause there...
-
will have a look tomorrow :happy2:

Any chance u figured it out I've a similar noise rubbing/grinding sound when I turn right!!! It's not suspension rubbing or wheel arch rub! Standard height car! Was thinking it was the brake dust shield but just looked there and it's not rubbing any where!!

Havnt figured it out yet, it sounds like we have something similar. took it to vw and they blamed the aftermarket exhaust which was s*** because it did it before the exhaust. Annoying
-
Mine litterally sounds like it's rubbing once the car is turning right at all!!! Had a good luck under it yesterday and theirs rubbing so next guess is brake pad off disk (somehow) or wheel bearing or driveshaft!!
