Hi folks, so my passenger side wing mirror has come loose and is flapping about. Any idea what I should use to secure it? Would superglue or double sided tape be sufficient or is there products specifically for this? Thanks

The glass should clip in so try gently press the centre of the mirror and clip it back in. hopefully in right.

If its come away from the backing... use some contact adhesive.

Double sided tape will work.
-
If it's come away from the plastic backing then as mentioned double sided sticky but be sure to clean both surfaces or it will fall off.
-
I've very recently used 3SDM double sided tape and it's not budging at all.
Just make sure nail the alignment of the glass to the backing, because you won't move it for sh*t once it's on.

I used this Unibond permanent carpet tape to stick my mirror back on when it went flappy on the motorway. Been fine for 1.5 years now.

Only fiddly bit is scraping all the old glue off beforehand

The person who originally asked about it hasn't even bothered to let us know or maybe it just fell off :signLOL:

Sorry folks for delayed update. Used small double sided tape tabs-says permanent tape. Has worked well thus far. Car has now been sold so no idea how long it will last tbh. Cleaned throughly and used a lot of tape so hopefully lasts the new owner a long time!
