Title: Battery removal procedure?
Post by: raz469 on May 07, 2016, 01:56:45 pm
Hi,
As the title says, I've heard a few horror stories regarding this so thought I'd do my research before i have to remove mine for my mounts.

What the procedure you use when removing and reinstalling your battery, and does that give you any faults/errors when starting back up?

Thank you in advance. Hope everyone's loving the sub and their cars too.

If you have the car scanned after a battery change you may see a couple of codes related to voltage.  These don't bring up a warning light, and can be cleared easily with the right scan tool.

I had this with mine.

You may get some warning light on dash when you put battery back in: Steering Angle sensor, ABS & traction control lights. Don't panic they will all clear once you drive slowly in straight line for 20 meters.
