How does one avoid warping brake disc in this hot weather in a dsg?
I thought both foot and handbrakes' cause the same/similar problem with disc.
Also in heat like this running the engine in the drive after a long journey is still worthwhile? As ive seen my temps go up after sitting stand still for so long. So turning the engine off asap after stopping is better?
Thanks again for all and any help. Hope everyones having a lovely Sunday.

You wont warp the brakes.
Drive the last mile or two very gently, then switch off after a few seconds. Simples

As said above.
Or if driving hard and breaking hard never sit with your foot on the brake straight after, shift into Park if you can as the box will hold you.

Forgot to mention that! Had to do the same yesterday after a couple of runs over the Black Mountain Pass..... Brakes were smoking by the end of it so I just coasted home to allow everything to cool, still working perfectly
