Just had the dsg serviced. It was hesitating at pull off. Vw said they want another 176 quid to do the basic settings. Is this a software thing. They said it could need new mechatronics. Which sounds expensive. It pulls through the gears fine. Just initial pull off?

If it was the dealer who did the oil and fitler change then I'm guessing they've not done the adaption properly as I had this with a focus when I did the adaption and for some what reason it failed and when I took it for a test run it initially judders and ran okay so I did the adaption again and all was well :phew: would have got my :booty: kicked by manager for that as it was warranty.

anyone with vcds can do this for you for a small fee.

I worked for a vw body shop in Birmingham. Popping back there Saturday morning for a chat lol

You should have gone back to vw and made it known that they didn't do the dsg reset after replacing the filter and oil. :stupid: technician must have fooked up.

Oh it was VW Kettering who did it. First time I've ever used a stealer. And probably the last

I would speak to the sevice manager and put your thoughts through regards the dsg not being calibrated which is the reason it is jerky :slap:

I did try but he had just gone home. One of the technicians said it's a software issue and that isn't related. I'm going to email vw tomorrow and ask why they don't do it as part of the service

If you didn't have the problem before taking it in for the service then I believe they fooked it up on calibration and denying it now.

How did it go OP?
