Title: Boot won't open

Hi can some please tell me how to test the boot catch to see is the actuator is working. It's got 4 wires 3 white and one brown. Two of the wires have 12v to them,and I take it the brown is earth.so do it just need to put 12v to the final wire to get the switch to fire.

Have a look at the wiring in the boot rubbers as they could have snapped.
