Title: GTD Gear Knob

Hi

Anyone fitted the GTD gear knob from a mk 7?

My stock GTI one is worn and makes the interior look dated. It looks like teh shaft will need to be cut down.

Anyone know of a 'how to' thread?

Don't cut the shaft, cut into the bottom of the ball. I have a Gti one which is the same... as far as Im aware i was the first person to do this mod.

The one I'm looking at it doesn't look like you can cut the ball!

Drill up through that gap in the middle.. you'll see what I mean
