Title: Climate Question??

Hi Guys,

My Ed30 has Climate control with Econ mode, does the Climate need re-gasing or anything as when on Low this weekend it wasnt geting Cold??  :thinking:

If you have the "econ" button pressed it de-activates the a/c.

If you are still not getting cold air with econ mode off you may have an a/c fault or need re-gassing.

You'll need to VCDS scan to find out what unit is at fault.

Mine happened to be a G65 sensor which I currently have sitting in front of me. I'l be refitting it at lunch tomorrow!

hahaha sorry should of been abit clear with my question.

with Econ off its not geting cold is what i should of said.

So it could need re-gassing or could be something like a sensor??

I can get gasing done for Free at my GF work so might try that first. And that answers abit of my question as i wasnt sure if they where a gassed system or not.  :happy2:

To answer your question - Econ stands for economy and the car won't get as cold when it's on. Only turn Econ on if you're worried about saving money. In which case, stop driving a GTI  :signLOL:

If it works fine around that, everything is grand but if it intermittently goes it could be your G65 sensor failing (like mine).

Get it regassed for free if you can and if that doens't fix it then scan it with VCDS and put the results up here.

hahaha,

Running a GTi with my past cars is like a Dream for running cost's  :drinking:

Mine doesnt get cold what so ever so im guessing it just doesnt work or needs re-gasing. I seen the G65 sensor thread so will fit that later today and get re-gased tomorrow least the 2 main avenue's have been covered then.
