Title: Bluetooth Module - what do i need to know?
Post by: bad devotions on June 08, 2016, 12:10:07 pm
So i have an RCD 510 DAB in my car as well as an updated CAN BUS. My car only has mid-line (may change the clocks to highline but am happy enough with what i have - for now).

I'd like to have the bluetooth module so that i can a) play music in my car from my phone and b) make it possible to make calls.

I DON'T have the MFSW (yet!).

What module should i go for? there seems to be a billion on ebay ranging from a few quid to hundreds

i know in the earlier versions they did two versions, one only did basic phone functions ( ie call etc.) and the other more expensive one allowed media streaming. Os I would say it would be the more expensive version you need

7p6 unit works the best in my opinion.

@olsen-72 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=4567)  can hook you up with the correct unit and wiring loom
