Took my car to main dealers the other day to show the rust bubbling on the front wing, they took some pictures and paint depth measurements.
They will contact VW and get back to me so I'm told.... So I'm waiting for a call in a week or two on progress.
Whilst washing the car I noticed there are a couple on smaller areas on the rear arch and they took photos etc of those too.
Is this something that's covered fully under the warranty or something they ask you to contribute towards?
The guy gave nothing away about any so wondered what luck others have had?
Cheers

paintwork should be covered under a 12 year warranty..

however, some people have been more successful than others afaik. Good luck!

Cheers, keen to find out peoples experience when they have enquired and if it's fully covered or they had to pay towards costs?

Both of my wings started to bubble about 3 years ago. Despite having 11 dealership stamps in the the service book's they didn't want to know!!!
I've mentioned it when having it serviced in 2014,15 & 16... Got the (fob off) reply "We haven't got a bodyshop at this dealership, you need to take it to a VW dealership in Shrewsbury"... Don't know why Shrewsbury when I live inbetween Birmingham & Wolverhampton!!!
I'll just pay and have them done when they get really bad, not worth the hassle...
