Hi all,
Does anyone know the cost of getting these two parts fitted?
Looks to be about an hours work, thinking about £50 plus about £90 for the parts.

Sounds about right but diverter valve you can do yourself. Not too hard.

I'm a real novice when it comes to mechanics but I followed the guide on here to do cam follower and it was really easy..., save yourself a few quid and get your hands dirty:)

Did the can follower myself today and yeah wasnt too hard at all. About to tackle the dv now

well, i just failed getting the DV done. Couldn't get the fecking wheel off! So i tried jacking up one side and having a look but didn't trust sticking my head under the car!

No need to take the wheel off for diverter valve. The top bolt is the only pain in the arse. Should take no longer than 45 mins

nice cheers - hopefully give that a go later on.

Never ever ever stick any part of your body under a car just on a jack. Always axle stands!!
Cam follower - easy to do on a BWA or BYD etc but is a pain on an AXX (banjo bolt), although once you do it once or twice it becomes a lot easier
Diverter Valve - I found it much easier to remove the wheel, remove the arch liner and do it that way, although it can be done without removing anything from underneath - although I imagine its more difficult.

On a K04 I'm led to believe that the DV is at the front of the engine block, no need to jack the car up.

Just done mine!
I had two axle stands and a 25tonne trolly jack as back up. Can't take the front wheel off at the moment so had to get underneath.
My DV (rev C) was fine in the end. But I swapped it anyway for my GFB DV+
Oh and I'm K03 so yeah but harder to get to.

Don't have any stands or tools at my flat in Leeds so took it to a garage round the corner, charged £40 to fit the DV and PCV on my ed30 which I didn't think was bad'

Sounds like a right bargain - not worth getting your hands dirty for £40.00....IMO
