Very quick question, I'm currently thinking about getting the Milltek non res cat back for my Edition 30 (my factory exhaust has developed a blow so it's the obvious solution :signLOL: ). Now, my farther is a mechanic and he is very much anti modding... Can people just put my mind and rest and tell me that none of you have had any issues with yours? E.g. fitting, rattles, longevity etc.
Also, any particularly good places to get one from? AMD seem to be fairly reasonable...

I've got one on my car and the quality is superb, I'd recommend it. :happy2:

I've got the resonated one on my car and it's been spot on, no complaints other than it being too quiet.

Haha, that's a shame. I'm sure you're neighbours are happy though

Not with the noise of my motorbikes, none of those are quiet  I'll change the centre section to a non resonated one :happy2:

I think if you pay for quality you will get quality. Perhaps your dads seen a lot of problems from modified cars that might have been modified poorly. If you do have problems (im sure you won't) but if you do you'll have to keep quiet

Cheers chaps, much appreciated

I've got a Milltek non-res cat back on mine - had it for 3 years this coming October. I had the same worries on mine about it being too loud, but in my opinion it gives the car just the right amount of noise / bark. Still unintrusive when cruising along, but just a nicer deeper sound when pressing on.
No issues with fitment or anything. The stainless tips polish up perfectly every time, and are much better then OEM.
Bought mine from AwesomeGTI and then was fitted by APS a couple of months later. Only did it that way so I could have a few jobs done on the same workshop visit, and so I felt like I've staggered the spend a bit!

I have one on my edition 30 and love it but it's getting removed and changed for a full BCS system in a couple of weeks..
Were you just after brand new?

@jakemower94 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=14398) as discussed on Instagram - just do it!
And get a non res for sure - not boy racerish and has a good note when you do put your foot down. If your going cat back only, do a precat delete on your existing downpipe.

@PhilNUKHow much will you be selling the Milltek for? May be interested.
Cheers

Its due to be taken off at the end of this month by Nigel at BCS... think its covered around 15k miles and is in great condition from what I can tell, but will get pics up when its taken off. Probably be looking about £300 for it. Its the one with the GT tips.
I am based in Liverpool

I'd probably just be looking for a new on, to be honest. Although the cost saving is appealing!

I know, I know, just need some funds now! Picked up a screw in my back tyre... Thats less than a month after I picked up a nail in the other rear tyre!!

I have recently picked up a non res cat back and love it to bits bar the fact I find it to quite and its NON RES. Fitted it myself in about an hour and it fits lovely with no rattles or anything
