Title: Another car STOLEN. (now recovered)
Post by: sixpot on January 17, 2010, 03:35:51 pm
A friend of mine had his low-mileage (14000) 3 Door Mk5 Golf TDI (GTI Replica) stolen last night with the keys.  :sad1:
The car is very easily spotted as it has the lower rear valance painted silver and also the front splitter the same.(rest of car is black)
Please keep your eyes out for it, the reg is VT55 DXS.
The car was stolen from Rainford, St Helens, Merseyside.
There is a couple of pics of the car on my mates website (below the mk6)
http://www.merseyspeed.co.uk/index.php/car-sales/i_6.html

Update:- The car has now been found (Kirkby again) and as of yet I don't know the condition it was found in, but the owner is very happy to have it back. By the way it wasn't found by the Police who are useless, it was found by a friend having a scout around one of the known areas for stolen cars.

Not good news, I'm not a million miles away and looking to buy...  Feel sorry for your mate, did he confront them?  Hope he's ok.

What amazes me is that they're stealing older GTIs and not brand new ones. WTF?!?!?

F*CKING SCUM, This makes me so mad hearing bout all these peoples cars getting taken. The worst thing is that its all going to be druggy b*stards that have more money than the honest hard working people.

They all need to be caught and have there hands cut off and then beaten to an inch of there lifes.

Good news, hope it's not been raped.  How did they find it (and where)?  Did it have any tracking device fitted to help finding it?

*** Just seen the update to the initial post, please ignore the above but good news. ***

I would get it inspected to make sure there's been no damage prior to doing driving it. But it's good news.

+ 1 I'm afraid, car won't be the same!  :sad1:

Plus it will be registered on the Insurance database now as being stolen recovered. Bad times!
