Got my car a year ago and so far it looks good, just need to work on the power.
Never modified anything before but really liking this dub. So is it straight to revo for a stage one or are there definite issues I'll need to sort and pre map mods to be done?
Thanks for any help

hey bud :) I have a twincharger myself and in prep of the REVO Stage 1, it is recommended that you change the spark plugs for NGK BKR7EIX with the iridium tips, and they will refuse to work on your car if you have excessive oil consumption and/or misfiring at any point!
As there is an issue on some engines with injectors ect!
Here is my build thread if your interested as I'm gearing up for a revo stage one soon as I've done all my prep

AFAIK that engine can easily upgrade its turbo to the Seat Ibiza Cupra 180 CV, which can be tuned to around 250 CV with the S3 IC and a sports exhaust.

Had a misfire in cylinder 1 but after switching coil pack 1 and 4 it went away and no other warning on vcds or dash since so assuming it's been a dodgy connection. I'm assuming if I clear my codes they'll do there own test runs and make sure nothing is an issue before going ahead?
If I uprate sparks should I change coils also?
No oil problems stays at a decent level for full service time.
Is there any checks I should do myself be it inspection or with the vcds, if anything at least for preventative maintenance
Shoduchi is that an audi s3 intercooler (sorry noob)
And thanks bluebert I'll check out your thread
Thanks again 9iron

Yeah, it's the Audi S3 IC, which is plenty up to 350 BHP.

I'm not sure if they will scan for you to start with or not if i'm honest, however In my experience with the spark plugs you will be happy to do the coils at the same time as unless you strip all the breathers out its a bit of a pain with a lack of room, so do what I did and do it all at once!
I think the misfiring issues weren't picked up with VCDS it just felt funny, however If you had a faulty coil pack that can happen to any one at any time so I wouldn't worry so much.
If your oil stays consistent or little use over long periods of time it will be fine mate :)
REVO claim that can get 202bhp (top range) with a stage 1 map, and they claim below.
"Due to issues with these engines from the factory Revo recommend running NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs whether you're running Stage1 or Stage2 software."
"The 1.4TSI Twincharger engine is known to suffer with oil consumption and misfire issues in standard form. If your vehicle has any running issues in standard form our dealers have been advised to refuse to upgrade it. Please click here for further details."

^ its very informative and should help clear up any doubts you may have, REVO are very adept at dealing with the TSI engine - I have a lot of friends with the TSI engine and have nothing but good things to say from them.

Cool sounds like good news. I'll check for the sparks and have a look at doing a test before and after on vcds when I get a bit more reading done on that subject
Had a look at the thread you have it's a lot of tweeks there. Was thinking about the flat bottom gti multi function steering wheel and maybe trying to retro fit a cruise control stock.
I'll definitely drop by your thread a few times for inspiration :)
Will there be much modifying to fit the s3 ic? Seen the forge kit looks easy to install but not ready for that level of commitment in cooling.
Also on exhaust systems, can you get away with just cat back or is it only going to make a difference with full manifold and downpipe etc?
Is it more about less packing rather than diameter?
