Filled my car up with Oil at the end of April and yesterday got a warning message on the dash that the oil was too low. Should I be filling this up every 2 months or should I get this looked at?
I'm pretty sure it never used this much oil when it was standard, but now I have stage 1 remap with Ramair induction kit and R8 coils. Not sure if this is normal or not???
Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on how many miles you have done in that time frame...?
-
What oil are you using? As after a remap it's recommended to use a slightly thicker oil.
Are you using 5w40? If not you should be. I am mapped and hardly use any oil.
-
I've topped up with 5w40.
I've had a remap done but didn't think it should drink that much. Is there anything I should be checking or could it be something else that's making it use more oil?

So you have 5w30 in there and topped up with 5w40? Should only have 5w40 in there. Sorry if you do but your post wasn't clear.

These engines use oil, no one can determine if your oil consumption is excessive of dates, we would need to no how many miles you've covered between top ups.
If your mapped then change the oil and use 5w40

Ok thanks. I'll try changing to 5w40 and see how I go on.

And you should be checking your oil at least once a week/fortnight as it only takes a few seconds and could save your engine from a lot of damage. When the light comes on its usually too late. :happy2:
