Booked my Gti into dealers for new discs and pads and just been told my pads are now garanteed for life......gti's are covered but not type r's
Thought I might post this for info as its new and just done by Vw. Everything up to 2ltr is covered :P

I dont see the point in that? they only last a few years anyway
-
Does that actually mean when they wear out they replace them for free though ?

Yes .....I doubled checked it to make sure!
You get a certificate that's validated to the car and it's for life apparantly

There's probably a catch where you have to get the pads replaced at the dealer, therefore having to pay the labour. :P

That was my first thought I see it as 1hour at full price!

Yes there is a labour charge but free pads as they do this deal at ford and there's also a tyre thing going on but I wouldn't trust any dealer as they charged a customer 130 for a 30 tyre which was meant to be a Michelin.
